The owners were brought together by 2 amazing dogs who were responsible for introducing us to this great facility and the op-paw-tunity to realize a lifelong dream.

Bridget

Red Heeler Aussie Cattledog cross. Personality: Bossy, protective, jealous and a big flirt. Also, loyal and cuddly. Skills: stubby leg sprint champion, excellent ball focus, but slightly uncoordinated. Most likely to eat all the cake and the neighbour’s dog food. Excellent swimmer and boat diver, a true water athlete. Not likely to be any help to anyone in danger, prefers to “flank” around the situation. A deck dog in the making.

Ginger

Red Heeler Aussie Cattledog cross. Personality: Playful, alert and loyal. Skills: high jump ball catch and barking at cows, deer, cats and semi-trucks. Most likely to chase a leaf across 6 counties before realizing it's not a squirrel. Chealsea Meadows

Chelsea has been a member of the 4 Pawz family, and has resided in Libby, since October 2022. She has an authentic passion for animals of all kinds, especially those of the canine variety! Raised in western Washington, Chelsea started her kenneling experience while running a boarding facility on Camano Island, catering to dogs needs in the Northwest Washington and Seattle area in 2018/2019. She moved to Montana at the end of 2019 and started working for two kennels in Kalispell, before expanding her knowledge and exploring her passion further by working in a vet clinic as a Veterinarian's Assistant for 3 years. She loves to care for all dogs and cats as if they were her own, and expresses her love for photography by taking pictures of all our guests during their stays here at 4 Pawz. She loves to share these with our client's owners, showcasing how much fun our 4-legged guests have. Chelsea takes a lot of pride in her work and often goes the extra mile by making suggestions for daily routines, enrichment activities for our guests and by being that helpful and cheerful front face in the office every day. In her spare time she loves to be outdoors, hiking and exploring Montana's scenic wonders! She has a senior pitbull mix named Rebel at home as well as two tabby cats Oscar and Victoria.

Taylor Carter

From a very young age Taylor has always had a passion for animals. She spent most of her younger years in Washington, while also spending the summers here in Troy. Her family eventually moved back to this wonderful place we call home and Taylor graduated from Troy High school. Taylor then went on to receive her bachelors degree in Criminal Justice at MSU - Northern. While in college she began working at the Havre Animal Shelter, which only increased her passion to help and save animals even more. During her time there, she knew that she wanted to pursue a career in this line of work. After graduation she moved back home and worked full time managing Second Chance Animal Adoption, a privately run shelter in Bonners Ferry, ID. While she loved this job, the commute was long and she knew deep down it wasn't her forever job. Taylor then met Amanda, the wonderful owner of 4 Pawz Pet Retreat! They instantly clicked and she was brought on board. 4 Pawz not only feels like a home to Taylor, but a family as well. She loves spending time with everyone's pets and loving on them as if they were her own during their stay here. She loves meeting the fur babies in this community, learning about their story, as well as meeting their wonderful owners! 4 Pawz Pet Retreat is an amazing slice of heaven for dogs, and cats as well! It makes Taylor so happy to be a part of such an amazing team and facility. When Taylor is not at work she enjoys spending time with her three cats, and dogs Bailey and Doegee, shed hunting, hiking, fishing and anything that involves enjoying our northwest Montana beauty.

Hayley Guinard

I was born and raised in Troy, MT. I'm the 4th generation in my house and on my property! I love to get outside horseback riding, camping, and hiking through our beautiful mountains! I am the proud owner of four wonderful dogs (aka fur babies), three of which are rescues and the fourth a Christmas present, and two amazing cats! My household is very full. During the rescue of my second dog is really when I realized that working with animals, particularly dogs, was my true calling in life. The amount that they have been able to overcome when given a stable home and someone that was willing to have patience and work with them was so beautiful and rewarding! Since then, I have started schooling to become a professional dog trainer at Penn Foster,  while at the same time, have been working with dogs, and people to further my knowledge and understanding of dogs and dog behavior in every way possible. Working at 4 Pawz, I hope to expand my knowledge and practical experience, as well as gain potential new clients and work with all of the beautiful fur babies in this community.
